No extra AI fees — uses the subscription you already have

Blyck calls the Claude Code or Codex installed on your PC as-is. So AI usage is paid from the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already have (or your own API key), and Blyck charges no AI fees of its own.

There is no Linux installer. Once installed, Blyck downloads new versions by itself and applies them when you restart.

On first launch

The Windows installer doesn’t have a code signature yet (a digital signature that proves who made it), so a warning may appear. On Mac, too, a security warning may appear because the app was downloaded from the internet. Nothing is wrong with the app — allow it once as shown below, and it opens directly from then on.

macOS — if a "cannot be opened" warning appears

  1. 1. macOS 15 and later: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to the Blyck item near the bottom
  2. 2. Earlier macOS: in the Applications folder, right-click Blyck and choose Open
  3. 3. You only need to do this once. If your Mac is very slow or the app won’t open, check that you have the right file for your Mac (Apple silicon / Intel)

Download files come from a server Blyck runs itself (update.blyck.dev). Only one Blyck runs at a time — if it’s already open, the existing window comes to the front.
