Runs on your subscription plan — no API fees
Blyck works through Claude Code & Codex CLI and uses the subscription plan you already have (Claude Pro/Max · ChatGPT Plus/Pro) — not per-token API billing. A flat monthly plan instead of metered API means dramatically lower cost than the API.
Linux is not currently a priority support target. Auto-updates run in the background after installation.
First-run guidance
The current beta build is before a code-signing certificate is applied. Because of this the OS may show a publisher verification warning, but this is normal behavior and there’s nothing wrong with the app itself. Allow it once as guided below, and it will launch directly afterward.
⊞ Windows — when SmartScreen warns
- 1. When the "Windows protected your PC" window appears, click More info
- 2. Click the Run anyway button at the bottom
- 3. From the next launch onward, the warning won’t appear
macOS — when "unidentified developer" warns
- 1. Control + click the app and choose Open
- 2. Click Open again in the dialog
- 3. Or allow "Open anyway" in System Settings → Privacy & Security
Official code signing will be applied with the commercial release. Download files are served from our own infrastructure (download.blyck.dev).
